Vegan|DF|Protein Fruit Smoothie

Gains – gains for days.

I love running but some days you can hit a wall mid-run and just feel cruddy. But you just have to keep pushing.
An interesting part of moving places is finding new places to run. I only have gotten lost on a run a total three times since moving to Birmingham this summer.
Check out a smoothie I have started making after runs that I have struggled with this summer.


  1. 1 cup Almond Milk
  2. 1/2 cup Blueberries
  3. 5 frozen strawberries
  4. 1 frozen Banana (broken into chunks)
  5. 1 tbsp of Vega Protein Mix or your favorite vegan/gluten-free smoothie powder
  6. 1/2 cup ice

Honestly, I believe no directions are necessary here. Whip out your handy dandy Ninja Blender and blend until smooth.

Jenna’s Thoughts

Running is hard. Sometimes it does not hurt to indulge yourself on something a little sweet… but sweet does not have to mean unhealthy. Smoothies are a go-to for me,  easy to make and a lot cheaper than smoothie stores. Also, have you ever not felt a full feeling after drinking a hearty smoothie? Exactly – they are filling! Treat yourself.
